I actually have needed to decalcify it twice in that time. The remaining time I decalcified it I did no longer change the water tank completely and it requested to ventilate it, I then now noticed my error, seated the water tank, ventilated it and once once extra perfect coffee... (According to the machine it has made 2862 cups) Update: Coming up on threeyrs, now according to computing device 5810 cups and nonetheless making good espresso.. Worse, it didn't do it robotically, so I had to use this 20 cent hand pump that doesn't correctly fit. It's ridiculous, it is a $1,200 machine. The ventilate issue that people reference above has never been a topic matter for my computer...it has requested to be ventilated twice (each time after a cleaning) and every time I just open the steam valve and its achieved. I even have never had a extra effortless, upkeep-free espresso desktop and I've owned many. This is simply an incredible desktop that I can't live with out!
